Half day wine tour
Visit three award winning wineries on our "Half Day Wine Tour". The tour departs central Christchurch at 1pm and returns by around 5:30pm. We will pick you up from your accommodation and take you to some amazing wineries in the area. All wine tasting at each winery is included in the tour. This is as much a winery tour as it is a sight seeing tour so kids and non drinkers are welcome at a reduced cost. The wineries we visit are 45 minutes North of Chistchurch among some spectacular scenery. Please book early for this tour as some days it is fully booked. * What time does the half day tour depart?
This tour departs at 1pm and arrives back in Christchurch by 5:30pm. For groups this can be changed to suit you needs.
* What is the minimum number of people required?
We like to operate tours with at least 4 people during winter months. Between September and March just 2 people is normally acceptable. If there is just two of you we may have two other people already wanting to do the tour in winter months. We try to accommodate all group sizes.
* Can kids and non drinks come along?
Yes, we reduce the cost if someone is not drinking wines.
* How do I book this tour?

For any bookings we do require a deposit to confirm the tour. NO TOUR IS CONFIRMED WITHOUT PAYING A DEPOSIT. Deposits are non refundable unless we cancel the tour.
* Do we get a guide for this tour?
Yes, our tours include a driver/guide and a map of the area. We also try to educate each person about the local wine region. But the idea is to have a relaxing time and some fun.
* Can we have an exclusive wine tour?
Yes, if you have more than 6 people we you may have your own driver/guide and vehicle. You you would like a private tour please make us aware of this when you first make a booking A discount also applies to some group bookings.
* Do we get a discount for a group?
Yes, We consider a group to be 6 or more people on the day. Please email us at waiparawine@xtra.co.nz for a free quote including group discount. The discounted price only applies if there is 6 or more people in your group on the day.
